This week's meeting
There will be an officers meeting at 8pm, before the main meeting. All MAG members are invited to attend.

Not a member? And why not? I have some membership forms Please mail me and I will get one to you. You can also join online via the MAG UK website - follow the link from the Southampton MAG website.

Political Action required soon!
Has anyone has spotted the latest edition of the highway code? You may notice the new section stating that you *should* wear hi-viz jackets and a white lid. The upshot of this is that if you are in an accident and your are
not wearing  hi-viz or a white lid *you* could be held partially responsible for the accident, with a reduced insurance payout. Great eh? MAG central are getting together briefing documents for use to help you lobby your MP, the DSA and DETR etc. When all the information comes together I will post it onto the website so you can start hassling those who can get this changed.
You might be interested to know this was not put before the Highway Code consultation committees (of which MAG is a member).

It also appears that some of the Hampshire MPs are lobbying for a blanket 40mph speed limit on country roads. I will forward more information about this as and when I get it.

If anyone knows of a suitable event (i.e. from a MAG group, a MAG affiliated club or a charitable event) please mail me and I will add it to the list.
